How do our rates compare to on-campus housing rates?

When comparing our rates to on-campus rates you must take into consideration many variables, including floor plan layout, square footage, furniture, utilities and community events. Our leasing staff is available to discuss with you how our rates compare to other housing options and validate that our community offers you the best value for your money, as well as a great location and incredible amenities.


Is the unit fully furnished?

Yes! The Accolade offers fully furnished units in all floorplans. All you need to supply is linens, utensils, and any personal items you will need. All your basics will be covered!

Can additional furniture be brought into the apartment?

You are welcome to bring additional furniture with you, but don’t forget that all of our apartments are fully furnished. You are welcome to move the furniture around to best suit your preferences, however if any furniture is removed from the property it will need to be stored at the expense of the resident and brought back at the end of your lease in the same condition it was originally in.

Can I pay my bill with a credit card? Is there an extra charge?

Yes! View your balance, submit electronic check, or pay with a Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover from any computer or smartphone. Visit and click the “Resident Login” button. There is a convenience fee to make payments with a debit or credit card. Convenience fees for international and commercial credit and debit cards may vary. Please contact our leasing office to learn more.

Do I have a meal plan?

Meal plans are not offered at The Accolade U District.

What if I need to cancel my lease?

Leases are legal contracts for the said term. Residents are responsible for the entire term of the lease. The Accolade U District does have a reletting policy. The resident is responsible for finding someone to take over their lease and a fee will apply.

If I pay in full, do I get a discount?

The Accolade U District does not offer discounts for rent paid in full. However, prepayment gives you the peace of mind knowing that your account is in good standing at all times!

Do you allow pets?

A: The Accolade U District is a pet friendly community! Permitted animals must weigh no more than 55lbs and aggressive breeds are not permitted. No more than two animals are permitted per apartment. We can’t wait to meet your furry friend 😊

What do I need to hook up my computer to the internet?

You will need a CAT 5 (Ethernet) cable. We have ethernet outlets in each bedroom and common area. Your computer must be configured properly for the internet to work and you will need to coordinate with our internet provider. Your computer or device must be registered as an active device with our internet service provider. We also have community-wide high-speed WiFi. This amenity is included with your rent!

How are roommates matched?

Roommates can be matched in a couple different ways – either you tell us who you want to live with, or if you don’t have roommates in mind, we are happy to do the matching for you! The Accolade U District utilizes a RoomSync app that lets the residents get to know each other and pick out your roommates all through an easy-to-use mobile app – swipe to meet your future roommate! Although we don’t guarantee a perfect match, you can rest assured that we do our best to find your perfect roommate based on the preferences you provide in your application.

How close to campus are you?

We are located 2 blocks from the University of Washington and one block from The Ave!

How many people live there?

Every year the total number varies just slightly, but we have room for 597 residents.

If I am over 21 do I need a guarantor?

There are 2 ways to qualify at The Accolade U District, all residents must meet our qualification criteria to live here, regardless of age. Applicants can qualify by adding a qualifying guarantor to the application or by paying the last month’s rent upon signing the lease. Please contact our office to learn more about our qualifying methods.

Is parking available?

The Accolade U District does not have on-site parking. Our leasing team has compiled a handful of local parking garages for our residents to reference if they bring a car with them. Contact us to learn more!

What is the cost?

What size are the beds?

The bed size depends on the floorplan you sign for! The B4 Double & A1 Double have twin XL beds, the A1 Deluxe has a KING bed, and all other floorplans have Full XL beds. Queen sheets will fit on the Full XL.

What types of leases are available?

We offer 12 month installment leases. Leases begin in September and end in August.

What utilities are included in my rent?

The Accolade U District’s rental package covers high-speed internet, & trash. The resident is responsible for electric, water, and sewage. The Accolade U District will bill back these utilities directly to your resident portal based on your unit’s usage, no set up is required by the resident.

When can I move in?

Move in date for Fall 2022, September 22, 2022.

When do I put down a deposit?

If a deposit is required, the $600 deposit will be paid upon completing the application, before receiving the lease.

When is my first payment due?

Fall 2022 residents will need to pay their first month’s installment by September 01, 2022.

Will you send me a bill each month for my rent?

We do not send any type of invoice for rent. You will receive a friendly email reminder at the beginning of each month. However, rent is due at the first of the month and is considered late on the 4th. Residents can set up Auto-pay through the portal as well.

What types of apartments and rooms are available?

The Accolade U District has 25 different floorplans to choose from! We offer Studios, One bedrooms, Double occupied one bedroom & two bedrooms, 2x2s, 2x1s, 3x1s, 3x2s, & 4x2s. All floorplans have Upgraded and Premium options to choose from. More info is available from our leasing office.
